A career counselling workshop spanning two days was organized in Heritage school in collaboration with Univarietyfor the students of classes IX and X on 5th& 6th December 2019 . The aim of the workshop was to assist the students in the choice of subjects to be taken in class 11, as the topics they study in classes 11th and 12th lay the foundation for the choice of topics in University .
The workshop was conducted by Mr.Gurpreet Singh fromUnivariety. He apprised the students about courses available in streams like Science, Commerce and Humanities and elaborated on the basic specializations, emerging courses , future career options and top colleges in India. On first day of the workshop he explained the merits of career counselling and discussed in detail about the upcoming trends and courses in Humanities and Non-medical stream .On day two he discussed Commerce and Medical streams.It was a highly impactful presentation that piqued the interest of the students, which was measurable from the number of queries that came from the audience.
The school hosts career counselling workshops at regular intervals to spread awareness among pupils of the process of career planning as well as to help them research hundreds of exciting career possibilities from the subject streams and ultimately help them to build a path to translate their dream into a reality.
