Heritage School Organizes Virtual Training Workshop For Faculty.
A two days virtual workshop was organized for the faculty of Heritage School Jammu on 12th and 13th May. The aim of the workshop was to aid the teachers in enhancing their digital teaching and learning skills.
Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a paradigm shift in teaching learning process. Education during these times assumes a greater perspective and requires creativity on part of the teachers to provide both academic and moral support to their learners, so that they are able to face these challenging times with positivity Teachers have to brace themselves and become acquainted with teaching through digital medium as this is the only via media available to connect with the students.
The resource person for this interactive session was Mrs. Sapna Sukul an educator and teacher trainer with decades of experience in the field of education. She is associated with various organizations of repute like British Council , AFS as teacher trainer and advisor to schools in Northern India.
She discussed in detail the modalities of taking online classes and techniques to be followed to make the teaching learning process more effective and enriching . She discussed and imparted innovative techniques & methods of creating and planning various activities to facilitate learning through virtual clasess.She also elaborated on rules of online ettiquetes to be followed by both the teacher and the taught.
The highly enriching and interactive workshops were well received by the faculty as it helped broaden their perspective as well augment their knowledge and skills. It also provided a platform to them to share their experience of taking online classes and discuss the challenges and joys of online teaching.
