EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO FRANCE
EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO FRANCE
As an endeavour to up bring our students as global citizens and to provide a global platform to broaden their intellectual and academic skills, we, at Heritage School organized an educational trip to France for 9 days in the month of June 2018 in collaboration with Prayatna Educational Society & Alliance Francaise, Rouen, France (International French learning centre by French Embassy) in which two students of Class 8, Harman and Vidur, participated.
As part of the programme, students attended 15 hours of French classes (for which they received an international certificate from Alliance Francaise which is a globally valid certificate in French language) at Alliance Français, Rouen, France along with the sightseeing of two different historical master pieces of Paris and Rouen. This was an excellent learning experience for the students in terms of understanding the French culture and enhancing their French language by improving their Listening, Speaking, Reading and writing skills of French.
During the trip the students also visited the world famous monuments of Paris. They spent a fun filled day at the amusement park Park Astérix / Disneyland in Paris. They also climbed to the top of the Eiffel Tower. A guided visit to the Montmarte Hill and Basilica Sacré-coeur was also organised.
In Rouen, a beautiful city and capital of Normandy, the students saw Cathedrale de Notre Dame (15th Century building), Church of Jeanne d’Arc, Vieux marche, Palais de Justice. They also had a visit to a very interesting exposition called Panorama XXL. They relished a laser game called Dock Laser in the gaming Zone.
The trip allowed students to inculcate interpersonal skills and become independent, learn to respect their culture and the culture of others.
