Heritage School Jammu was conferred with the prestigious and coveted REX Karmaveer Education Change Champion Fellowship and Karmaveer Chakra Award instituted by International Confederation of NGOs on 15th April 2019. The School Principal Mr. Akash Pradhan and Social Activity incharge Ms. Sukhbir Kour received this prestigious award on behalf of the school.
As a mission, REX Karmaveer Global Fellowship and the Karmaveer Chakra Awards was conceptualized in 2003 and launched in 2006 as an integral part of the RIGHT every WRONG and the JOY OF GIVING movement created and promoted by REX founders.
REX Karmaveer # Education Change Champions Fellowship and Awards 2019, a unique event is a step towards acknowledging and celebrating the work of education leaders in the area of community work and volunteering.
The school was honoured with this award for its active participation in making a sea change through its giant yet humble effort to bring an inspirational change in the society with its path breaking work. Heritage School has actively participated in various programmes creating awareness of different social, economic and cultural issue. These activities included participation in Clean Tawi Campaign, Tree Plantation, Earth Day Celebration, Recycling of Waste, Save Tiger Project in collaboration with NDTV and many more.
The school under the aeiges of Reserve Bank of India also organized an awareness programme on 30th July 2018 to generate awareness on Banking Ombudsman Scheme started by RBI.
Regular seminars and workshops were conducted for the students by teachers, experts and resource persons. The school also provided 100 % support to the students by rendering opportunities to collaborate and connect with the society while staying responsible and creating a harmonious environment congenial to learning and growth.
