INTER-HOUSE QUIZ COMPETITION

Heritage School Jammu organised an exhilarating and intellectually stimulating Inter-House Quiz Competition for students of classes 10 to 12 , on October 12th, 2023, highlighting the exceptional talent of its students. The event was a showcase of knowledge and wit, with participants having to clear a rigorous written exam to qualify, ensuring a high level of competition. The Chief Guest on the occasion was the Chairman Heritage School Mr. Sunil Gupta.
The competition was a fierce battle of wits, featuring four teams representing the four houses of the school. Each team consisted of four students, all competing for the coveted top honours. The competition unfolded through four demanding rounds, each with four questions, evaluating their expertise in a wide array of subjects. The competition, with a strict 15-second timer for each question, provided an electrifying and intellectually stimulating experience for the participants and the audience alike.
Round one, the General Knowledge round, covered questions on general knowledge, current affairs, economics, political science, and geography. Each correct answer was rewarded with 10 points, and there was no penalty for incorrect responses.
The second round, Business Quiz, focused on topics such as logos, CEO's, taglines, business-related scandals, and more. Students received 10 points for each correct answer but faced a penalty for incorrect responses.
The third round was Bollywood/Hollywood Quiz, which delved into the world of movies and entertainment, featuring questions about films, dialogues, video clips, music, and advertisements. Like the Business Quiz, correct answers were worth 10 points, and there was a penalty for wrong responses.
The final round was a Bonus Round, encompassing an eclectic range of topics, including science, live science experiments, sports, 'Who am I,' and painting. Correct answers earned participants 10 points, but there was a unique twist, with a 20-point bonus for passed questions and a - 20 point penalty for incorrect answers.
The competition was filled with suspense and excitement as each team vied to outperform the others. To engage the audience and enhance the atmosphere, spectators were encouraged to participate, and after the completion of each round, three questions were posed to them.
In an exciting turn of events, the team comprising, Vivek Singh Sudan , Tayyib Aadil, Harleen Kour and Rajveer Langar from Tradition House secured the first position, displaying remarkable knowledge and quick thinking.
The Chairman, Mr. Sunil Gupta in his address to the gathering extended his heartfelt congratulations to the winning team for their outstanding performance and commended the organizing committee for their relentless efforts in making this event a resounding success.
