TEACHER DEVELOPMENT & GLOBAL COLLABORATION
Heritage School conducted a focused Mathematics Workshop for teachers of Classes VI to XII on 4th December, led by Ms. Daman Kour, STEMS and Mathematics Leader at Charles Campbell College, Adelaide, Australia. She provided valuable insights into innovative teaching practices followed in Australia and highlighted strategies that can be meaningfully incorporated into Heritage School’s pedagogy in alignment with the CBSE curriculum. The session enriched teachers with fresh ideas on activity-based learning, differentiated instruction and real-life application of mathematical concepts.
Before the interaction with Ms. Kour, students of Classes VIII and IX participated in hands-on collaborative activities under the RIDS British Council Project. They explored world monuments, discussed their global significance, and engaged in classroom-based mathematics tasks. Students created graphs, calculated surface areas, estimated paint required for maintenanceband maintained detailed records—integrating mathematics with cultural awareness and global citizenship.
Later, during the online interaction, students connected with peers from Charles Campbell College to share their work and perspectives, further strengthening the spirit of cross-cultural learning.
Such initiatives reflect Heritage School’s ongoing commitment to holistic education, global exposure and continuous professional development for both teachers and students.
