Heritage School Educators Participate in AI and Computational Thinking Workshop Organised by IIT Jammu

Faculty members from the Computer and Mathematics Departments of Heritage School participated in a workshop titled “AI Tools & Computational Thinking for Educators”, organised at IIT Jammu on 9th May 2026 in collaboration with Nurture Next (Techible) and I3C-IIT Jammu.

The workshop provided educators with hands-on experience in AI-based applications, computational thinking methodologies, digital teaching practices and effective ways of integrating technology into classroom instruction.

Through interactive activities and demonstrations, participants explored innovative strategies to create more engaging, interactive and skill-focused learning environments.

The sessions were conducted by eminent resource person Mr. Paramveer Nandal, Founder and CEO of Techible (Nurture Next) and an IIT Jammu alumnus. He emphasised the need to nurture logical thinking, creativity and analytical skills among students while discouraging rote learning methods.

The workshop also focused on the ethical and responsible use of technology, highlighting the risks of overdependence on digital tools that may hinder originality and independent thought.

The sessions witnessed active participation from the attendees, The workshop proved to be highly enriching and the queries raised by educators were addressed in an informative and engaging manner.
