"JODO GYAN " WORKSHOP(Session2018-19)

HERITAGE SCHOOL ORGANISES “JODO GYAN “ WORKSHOP

A two day Mathematics Workshop, under the aegis of Jodo Gyan was conducted in Heritage School on 3rd & 4th Aug. 2018 to empower the Mathematics faculty of Primary and Secondary classes. Jodo Gyan is an organization working to find activity based workable solutions to the problems in class room practices.
Experts from Jodo Gyan, Ms. Amrita and Ms. Pooja, conducted the workshop which was very informative and enriching for the teachers.
The workshop was aimed at developing deeper understanding about mathematical concepts and pedagogical aspects. Numerous activities were carried out by the Resource Team to provide the teachers an insight into innovative teaching methodologies and lead them to introspect as well as adapt to new and better ways to reach out to children.
The objective of the workshop was to change abstract mathematical learning to concrete learning. As the children learn better with what they touch, feel and observe, so hands on experience was emphasized upon. Various Pre-Primary, Primary and Middle class concepts were taught through Jodo Gyan material. They brought in real life experiences related to Mathematics in teaching strategies.
It was an interesting and productive session for all.
