Heritage School Jammu organises Community Service Activities as part of GYSD

As part of a world wide initiative- Global Youth Service Day (GYSD), Heritage School organised various social service acts of empathy and awareness under the theme “Celebrating the Active Global Citizen” that celebrates the power of young people to make a positive difference in their communities.
Amongst some of the activities being conducted, children from the Primary wing had an opportunity to interact with patients at the renowned Ankur Maitrika hospital on 27th April. The children asked about the patients' health and wished them speedy recovery as they gifted 'get well soon' cards to them.

Our school is highly obliged and grateful to Dr Ajay Wakloo for the care and affection with which the hospital staff managed and motivated our little ones as they took them around the wards.

Another batch of children distributed fruits to the children of economically weaker sections of society that live around the school.

The charitable activities were initiated by the school administration with the aim of inculcating values such as empathy, kindness, and generosity in young minds which is a reflection of its commitment to educating well-rounded individuals who are not only academically excellent but also socially conscious.
